Hello Dr. Crutchfield!

My name is Sara and I have battled moderate to severe Plaque Psoriasis for nearly five years. What started as one small skin irritation on my right leg eventually consumed my body. In a matter of months my arms, legs, ears, hands, feet and head were covered with painful, swollen, flaking lesions that were attacking my body and tearing away at my self esteem. Often covered from head to toe (even in the summer) in long sleeves and pants I was extremely embarrassed, constantly looking at where I stood, sat or slept for evidence that I had been there. I would often have to vacuum bed sheets, carpet and chairs because of the skin that was literally falling off my body.

On December 20, 2006 as I visited with Dr. Crutchfield I cried! Not tears of pain, but tears of happiness and having my life back. After only a month of treatment, all that remains of my psoriasis is some slight skin discoloration which will eventually be corrected with phototherapy. Three weeks ago I was actually able to shave my legs for the first time since the summer! I saw dramatic results within the first week of treatment and I literally felt better overnight! I cannot say enough about the wonderful way I was treated and cared for by Dr. Crutchfield and his staff of wonderful nurses!! Dr. Crutchfield listened to me, cared about my story and helped me get my self-esteem, my life and (MY SKIN) back!
