Lets Talk About Skin Diseases Specific to Ethnic Skin
Talking about skin diseases- most skin diseases occur in people of all skin colors. Certain problems encountered in the skin are more common in people with skin of color; and sometimes a skin problem seems more obvious because it effects a person’s skin color.
There are many variations in our skin colors in fact skin color is determined by specialized cells called Melanocytes.
Melanocytes make brown pigment.
Only three percent of the cells in our skin are melanocytes. These are the ones that make skin color.
