What is this strange bump on this woman's finger?

What is your diagnosis?

44 year old woman with a growth on her finger of 8 months duration. No history of similar lesions. No history of bleeding. Mild discomfort with trauma. Otherwise healthy. What's your diagnosis?

Acquired Digital Fibrokeratoma

Acral fibrokeratoma, often called acquired digital fibrokeratoma, is characterized by a pinkish, hyperkeratotic, horn-like projection occurring on a finger, toe, or palm. The projection usually emerges from a collarette of elevated skin. The average age of the patient is 40. The lesion resembles a rudimentary supernumerary digit, cutaneous horn, or a neuroma. Histologic sections show a central core of thick collagen bundles interwoven closely in a vertical position. This is surrounded by capillaries and a fine network of reticulum fibers. Stellate dermal dendrocytes may be present as in a fibrous papule simple surgical excision or laser ablation at the level of the skin surface is an effective treatment.
