Diagnosis: Hyaluronic Acid Filler
This 41-year-old woman wanted her lips to look "a little bit fuller, but 'no poofy and goofy' look like I see many of the women on those 'housewives' shows on television." In this case, I used 1.0 cc of Volbella hyaluronic acid filler, total for both lips (0.5 cc's/lip). We offer full lip anesthesia (dental block) and ProNox (nitrous oxide/laughing gas) at our clinic for patient comfort for all aesthetic procedures. In this particular case, she used ProNox to relax before the receiving dental block.
Two weeks after the treatment, I received a lovely card from the patient stating how happy she was with the results and how comfortable and pleasant the lip treatment was.
