Crutchfield Dermatology wins website award for
“Best Healthcare Content”
Crutchfield Dermatology in Eagan, Minnesota has been honored with the “Distinction Award” in recognition of “outstanding healthcare web sites for consumers and healthcare professionals for best healthcare content” from eHealthcare Leadership Awards.
Crutchfield Dermatology has been a pioneer when it comes to forward thinking in the medical field. They were the first dermatology clinic in Minnesota with electronic medical records, the first dermatology clinic in the United States to have WiFi, and the first dermatologic clinic in Minnesota to produce a monthly electronic magazine-like newsletter with almost 8,000 patient and physician recipients. They have been recognized with outstanding business awards from the local Chamber of Commerce and the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal. “Our goal is simple; to provide the highest quality dermatologic care in the world. I start every staff meeting with the same two questions; one, what can we do to serve our patients better and two, what can we do to make our practice run better?” comments Charles E. Crutchfield III, M.D. founder and medical director of Crutchfield Dermatology. “I am thrilled to have received the eHealthcare award for our website’s best healthcare content. We spend a considerable amount of time and energy refining and regularly updating our site so it is the best it can be for patients and physicians. In fact, we have well over 100 hours of educational and patient friendly text, audio, and video content on our site. It is so nice to have our efforts recognized.”
eHealthcare website award winners represent 17 industry classifications from hospitals and health systems to pharmaceutical firms and online health companies. Awards were given in 12 different categories: Best Site Design, Best Interactive, Best Health/Healthcare Content, Best e-Business, Best Care/Disease Management, Best Rich Media, Best Staff Recruitment, Best Quality Communication, Best Community Benefit Communication, Best Overall Internet Site, Best Intranet Site, and eHealth Organizational Commitment. Judges looked at how sites compared with others in their organization’s classification. They also reviewed sites based on a proprietary multi-point standard of Internet excellence. The eHealthcare Leadership Awards program was developed and first presented seven years ago by eHealthcare Strategy & Trends, a leading Internet resource published by Health Care Communications, Rye, NY.
